Adegoke Dispensary is a premium cannabis dispensary in the heart of Washington, DC, built for people who want more than a transaction. We believe cannabis can be part of a thoughtful, intentional lifestyle, one rooted in wellness, education, and genuine care for the community around us. Located near Dupont Circle and Logan Circle, Adegoke was created to be a place where quality products meet real conversation, where customers are treated as informed adults, and where every visit feels like an upgrade from the ordinary dispensary experience.
Adegoke Dispensary was founded by Jumoke "Jume" Akinnagbe, a Nigerian-American entrepreneur with an academic background in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland. That scientific foundation shapes how Adegoke approaches cannabis: with curiosity, precision, and respect for the people who walk through our doors.
Jume built Adegoke Dispensary to be more than a place to buy cannabis. As a woman entrepreneur and social-equity operator in a highly regulated industry, she set out to create a business that could stand on its own as a premium retail destination, one that also happens to open doors for underrepresented entrepreneurs in cannabis. That dual purpose, building something excellent while building opportunity, is at the center of everything Adegoke does.
Cannabis deserves better than stereotypes. At Adegoke, we approach the plant the way we approach everything else in our business: with intention.

Our goal is simple: to continue to be a fixture in this neighborhood, not just a storefront in it. Longtime DC resident, professional working nearby, or visitor in town for a few days, we want Adegoke to feel like a natural stop, easy to find and easy to trust.
Adegoke is located at 1710 Rhode Island Avenue NW, right in the middle of one of DC's most walkable and dynamic areas. We are neighbors to Dupont Circle, Logan Circle, and the surrounding communities, and we take that seriously. Many of the people who live and work within a few blocks of us are still discovering that we are here. As a neighborhood dispensary for 11 years we enjoy being part of the fabric of our community dispensary.
We carry a full range of products, including flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates, topicals, and tinctures, and we curate our selection with the same care we bring to everything else. Our team is here to help customers navigate that selection thoughtfully, not to push volume.
We also believe education is part of good service. Understanding cannabinoids, terpenes, and product formats helps customers make choices that fit their own preferences and comfort level. Our staff is trained to have those conversations, and our content is built to support customers before they ever walk through the door.
As these partnerships grow, so does our commitment to using them for something bigger than marketing: real collaboration, real storytelling, and real investment in the people and businesses around us.
Adegoke exists inside a larger creative and cultural ecosystem, and we intend to keep it that way. We are also building relationships with local artists, creatives, and community organizations across DC, because we believe a dispensary should contribute to its neighborhood's creative life, not sit apart from it.
